Messages from the
Word of God.

This message is dedicated to defining the world as a unique enemy of the Christian, differentiating it from both the sin nature and the devil, emphasizing that believers can overcome those two foes yet still succumb to the world system. Drawing heavily from the book of First John, the speaker explores the command to stop loving the world, arguing that this involves the misdirection of agape love—the supernatural affection provided by the Holy Spirit. This spiritual love, which must be aligned with truth and directed toward God and fellow believers, is often incorrectly applied to societal systems. The discourse asserts that the temptation arises when Christians adopt the world's measures of success and organizational philosophies, often leading to the false belief that the church’s purpose is to change or improve the worldly environment. Ultimately, the speaker cautions that believers must measure their attitudes and actions by scripture alone, rejecting the world’s influence and its deceptive metrics for achievement.
